|Title||Therapy Technician II (Day Habilitation Services)|

The primary responsibility of the Therapy Technician II (TT II) is to supervise and train consumers on any given particular contact that is assigned. The TT II must assure the safety and welfare of each consumer that you over see. The TT II will instruct the consumer in correct technique and skill that they are performing. The TT II will participate in the staffing process and assist in the development of goals and assure that the goals are being implemented. This task is done through observing, supervising and interacting directly with the consumers. Through observing, supervising, and interacting with consumers, the TT II will document behaviors and goal progression. Administratively the TT II will be responsible for consumer documentation, payroll, vehicle maintenance and submitting a required list of supplies. You will also assist in maintaining quality of control and delivery of the contact service.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduation from a standard high school or documentation the General Equivalency Examination (GED) has been obtained.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid Texas driver's license and must be insurable on the Center's insurance. No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, must have proof of current liability insurance.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Certification in CPR/AED, First Aid, and Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB). Other training and/or certification deemed necessary by TXMHMR or this Center. A minimum or one-year experience working with and/or training persons with intellectual disabilities.
