The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is responsible for implementing treatment programs based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) under the direction of the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The Registered Behavior Technician provides direct one on one and small group specialized behavior intervention according to goals described in the treatment plan. The Registered Behavior Technician assists with assessments and functional analyses, conducts direct observation, collects data, summarizes data, and document training progress. The RBT will work as part of a treatment team and will work closely with the Program Manager of the Center in building strong relationships with the families to provide excellence in ABA Therapy.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Registered Behavior Technician credential required. May consider an individual with 6 months to 1 year of experience working with children. Must have a current Texas driver’s license and be insurable under the Center’s liability insurance.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Completion of high school or equivalent. Some college preferred. Experience working with children with an Autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities.

PHYSICAL DEMAND AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Position has frequent physical demand requirements, which include flexibility, lifting and transferring skills, and the full range of motion in all joints. Will be expected to perform physical agility activities, which relate to the essential function of the job. Agility requirements include the ability to scoot, bend, kneel, carry and lift up to 50 lbs., grasp and perform life-saving activities such as CPR and PMAB techniques. Requires adherence to work practices that meet health and safety guidelines and requirements including washes hands frequently and between contact. Wear closed-toe shoes. No dangling earrings or large necklaces or bracelets which could be distracting or encourage injury. Assists other staff when immediately necessary for safety or stepping in to assist with consumers not assigned to them.
SHIFT: 8:00 AM - 5 PM Monday – Friday, time may vary. Events or volunteer opportunities within the community outside of these traditional hours may occur on occasion.
