The Adult Mental Health RN Rural Assertive Community Treatment Team (RACT) performs nursing services to Consumers assigned to the RACT Team. Work involves assisting individuals with maintaining their physical health and well being with the goal of integrating them into the community. Other responsibilities include medication monitoring and training; assistance with psychiatrist, medical staff, and rehab and case management needs as indicated. Developing treatment goals and updating paperwork is also an essential task. The RN works with the RACT team leader with clinical and administrative supervision by the Adult Mental Health Lead Registered Nurse. The employee will implement the principles of trauma-informed care including culture sensitivity in all areas of service delivery.
EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduation from a Registered Nurse program accredited by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of Texas. Licensed to practice as a RN in the state of Texas. Valid Texas driver’s license and must be insurable on the Center’s insurance. No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, must have proof of current liability insurance.EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Experience working with people who have mental illness is preferred. Working knowledge of clinical/nursing practices and procedures. Ability to apply professional nursing skills, techniques and methods. Knowledge of medical office procedures. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of resources used on the job, such as medical reference and drug books. Ability to read and interpret physician’s orders. Ability to plan, organize and perform work in an efficient and timely manner. Ability to perform work requiring attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively, to exercise good judgment, and to establish good relationships with patients and coworkers. Demonstrated, either through experience or education, ability to work in a rapid pace environment in an organized and professional manner. Ability to self-monitor production and quality with minimal assistance. Basic knowledge and familiarity with business software such as Microsoft Word and Excel. The ability to work as a team member in a diverse environment interfacing with both internal and external customers/providers.
|Salary:||$3,958 a month|
|Hours:||Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM|
