|Title:||Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) Case Manager|

MCOT Case Manager maintains readiness for immediate crisis resolution from local community stakeholders. Mobile Crisis Outreach Team operates in conjunction with the crisis hotline and provides emergency care, urgent care, and Crisis follow up care in the child, adolescent, or adult’s natural environment. Mobile Crisis services allow for immediate access to crisis assessment, resolution, and stabilization regardless of the occurrence of the precipitating event or an individual’s transportation resources. The Mobile Crisis Outreach Team may also provide temporary services in the community to individuals who have urgent needs but may not meet criteria for involuntary detention. The Mobile Crisis Outreach Team works closely with hospitals/ER, psychiatric hospitals, state hospitals, group homes, mental health deputies, law enforcement and other crisis responders. The Mobile Crisis Outreach Team responds to crises in which individuals with IDD and or co-occurring MH/IDD/Substance diagnoses require crises intervention and or resolution.
EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum number of hours that is equivalent to a major (as determined by the LMHA or MMCO in accordance with 412.312© of this title (relating to Competency and Credentialing) from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Medicine, Nursing, Rehabilitation, Counseling, Sociology, Human Growth and Development, Physician Assistant, Gerontology, Special Education, Educational Psychology, Early Childhood Education, and/or Early Childhood Intervention.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid Texas driver’s license and must be insurable and remain insurable on MHMR Services for the Concho Valley center’s insurance. QMHP-CS certification.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: At least one (1) year of clinically appropriate experience in treatment of persons with mental illness, chemical dependency, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Applicants with additional years of direct experience preferred. Spanish speaking applicants preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: SPECIAL SKILLS: Demonstrated ability to work in a rapid paced environment in a timely, organized, and professional manner. Ability to self-monitor work load and quality of work with minimal assistance and consistent punctuality. Ability to work in a productive environment and meet and/or exceed established performance/workload goal. Ability to perform as a team member in a diversified environment interfacing with both internal and external persons. Knowledge and familiarity with data systems to include business software such as Microsoft Office Suite and EMR Cerner.
|Hours:||Monday – Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with after-hours on call.|
