Mobile Crisis Outreach Team - MCOT
The Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) is a resource designed to bring a crisis worker into the community to provide a face-to-face assessment and intervention, follow-up and relapse prevention services.
Through the 24-Hour Crisis Helpline:
1.800.375.8965 or 325.653.5933
The MCOT team may be dispatched to a person’s location for assessment. Services are coordinated with community organizations and designed to reduce inpatient hospitalizations and intervention with law enforcement. Additionally, MCOT provides mental health assessment schools, the local emergency room, places of business, or anywhere within the community and can recommend appropriate care.
MCOT is community-based and covers Coke, Concho, Crocket, Irion, Reagan, Sterling, and Tom Green Counties. They are the mental health first responders to Children and Adults who are experiencing a mental health crisis. MCOT services focus on providing timely crisis assessments and development of a treatment plan unique to the individual's needs.
