||LCP/LCSW/LMFT Regional Health Education Liaison

The Regional Health Education Liaison will serve as a resource regarding child/adolescent mental health and substance use for schools and Education Service Center (ESC) personnel by:
- Increasing ESC and school personnel’s awareness and understanding of mental health and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Assisting personnel in the implementation of initiatives related to mental health or substance use
- Ensuring personnel are aware of:
- Best practice-based programs and research-based practices
- Other public and private mental health and substance use programs
- Facilitating Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) trainings
- Facilitating trainings regarding:
- The impact of grief and trauma
- Special considerations in supporting children with intellectual or developmental disabilities who are impacted by grief or trauma
- Prevention and intervention programs proven effective in helping students cope with pressures to:
- Use alcohol, cigarettes, or illicit drugs; or
- Misuse of prescription drugs
- This position will office at Region 15 Education Service Center and is grant-funded.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduated from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree or higher:
- Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) as defined in TAC 26
- A person licensed as one of the following and acting within the authorized scope of the person’s license:
- Licensed professional counselor
- Licensed clinical social worker
- Advanced practice registered nurse
- Physician assistant; or
- Licensed marriage and family therapist
Experience working in a school setting preferred. Experience in the education field and/or working with children and adolescents.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Current and valid Texas Driver’s license and a clean driving record with reliable transportation
- Current licensure for LPHA; licensure from specific discipline listed above
- Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check

- Plan: Determine strategies to move the organization forward, set goals, create and implement action plans, and evaluate the process and results.
- Solve problems: Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
- Possess strong Microsoft Office skills such as creating presentations and a variety of training material and creating graphs, charts, and tables.
||$4,720 - $5,254 Month (DOE)
||Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm routinely with exceptions for special events.
