|Title:||Human Resources Clerk (part-time)|

The Human Resources Clerk will work under the direction of the HR Assistant and the HR Specialist. The HR Clerk will be responsible for general office duties, such as, typing, filing, copying, scanning, answering phones and providing general assistant to staff and applicants. Responsible for filing, organizing and maintaining personnel files; training records and other records as directed the by the HR Assistant. Will enter data into HR software programs and enter general data into other programs in order to perform various background checks. Will copy and compile documents for various folders/packets as needed. Will help with answering phone in the HR office and assisting callers with needed information. Will provide staff and applicants with information and copies of documents as needed. May perform backup receptionist and switchboard duties. Will assist the HR Director as needed. Will perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited High School or G.E.D certificate issued in accordance with the Texas law.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 6 months experience in general clerical/office work is required. Experience in switchboard/receptionist duties preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid Texas Driver’s License is required; must not have more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years. Must be insurable on the Center’s insurance.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Knowledge of office procedures; spelling, punctuation, grammar and filing procedures. Knowledge of business methods and procedures and records administration and maintenance of records and files. Ability to apply professional office skills, techniques and methods. Ability to communicate effectively; to plan and execute work; to exercise good judgment; and to establish good relationships with applicants, employees and the general public. Possess good organizational skills. Basic knowledge and familiarity with data systems including business software as Microsoft Word and Excel.
