The Clubhouse Model of Recovery Director has overall responsibility for the operation of the San Angelo Clubhouse program. The Director is responsible for the continued development of the program; keeping a vision for the growth and success of the clubhouse. Central to this responsibility is the engagement of members and staff in all aspects of clubhouse operations. Shall strongly believe in Recovery, be able to demonstrate a commitment to the principles and philosophy of the clubhouse model and will promote fidelity with the International Center for Clubhouse Development Self-Study and Certification Protocols. The Clubhouse Director assures the development of temporary, transitional, and permanent employment programs, administratively responsible for clubhouse staff, facilitates and/or assists in leading work units as needed, oversee fundraising activities as well as grant opportunities, and public relations. Of upmost importance is to instill a sense of community amongst members and staff to create a positive place for the San Angelo Clubhouse in the community. The Director assures implementation and continued compliance with Clubhouse International Standard.
EDUCATION REQUIRED: A university or college degree in human services, psychology, social work, public administration or related fields.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Valid Texas Driver’s License required – must not have more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and proof of current liability insurance.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A minimum of three to five years’ employment experience with continually increasing responsibilities in a Clubhouse or non-profit service organization. A clear understanding, ability to articulate and a commitment to the values and beliefs of a Clubhouse program for people living with mental illness. Able to demonstrate understanding of the International Standards for Clubhouse Programs. Excellent writing skills. A willingness to participate in the Comprehensive Clubhouse Training Program at an authorized Clubhouse International Training Base. Ability to work with many different kinds of people with varied personalities and interests. Supervisory experience is necessary. Experience developing new programs/services.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Must be capable of using Microsoft products including Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word. Skills in organizing complex information. Ability to implement procedures and evaluate their effectiveness. Capability of interpreting and teaching others complex rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Skill in data analysis and report preparation for review and presentation. Ability to clearly communicate complex and sensitive information both orally and in writing. Demonstrate the ability to work closely with all levels of service providers in an atmosphere of teamwork. Ability to self-monitor production and quality with minimal assistance. Ability to train, motivate and supervise staff effectively. Ability to act decisively, make decisions and delegate authority.
|Salary:||$50,000 Annually ($4,167 month)|
|Hours:||Monday -Friday, 8a.m. -5p.m., will vary to include possible weekend and holidays|
