GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Respite Care Provider will provide supervision and care to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. The Respite Care Provider will apply crisis intervention principles as appropriate throughout their shifts, and will be responsible for preparing necessary documentation. The Respite Care Provider is required to attend meetings, staffings, and training programs relevant to the position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited High School or G.E.D. Prefer some college courses/studies in psychology.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license and must be insurable on the Center’s insurance. Be certified or willing to become certified in CPR, First Aid, PMAB, etc.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to develop productive relationships with agencies that focus on individual specific outcomes. needs and characteristics associated with disabilities.
