DADS has issued the following Provider Alerts or Bulletins:
Home and Community-based Services (HCS) Case Management Transition Videos Available on Transition Website
HCS Case Management Transition FAQ videos are now available on the transition initiative website at this link: http://www.dads.state.tx.us/hcscmtransition. Each video is approximately five minutes in length. Please note that one video is geared toward individuals and families, while the other is for the audience of HCS providers. Providers and Mental Retardation Authority (MRA) staff are encouraged to utilize these videos as an information tool to educate individuals, families, and appropriate staff members about the upcoming changes planned for June 1, 2010 when MRAs will begin to provide service coordination to individuals who receive HCS Program services. Please note that captioning is available for both videos; instructions regarding how to access captioning is included on the website. In addition, a one page acronym list is available for use when showing individuals and families the video developed for them as a quick reference guide to common program acronyms used in the video. Lastly, transcripts of each video are also available on the site. The transcript of the video for individuals and families will be available in Spanish before the end of March.
